How it works

Enter your seed phrase
Type your 12 or 24 BIP39 words (your 12 or 24 recovery words — the standard format used by nearly every wallet) directly into the app. SeedCrypt never sends them anywhere — all operations run locally, offline.

Choose a strong password
Your password is stretched through PBKDF2-SHA512 (600,000 iterations) into the AES-256 key. Never stored anywhere.

Store on your media
Select your USB key, external disk or local folder. The encrypted .json file is saved. Unreadable without your password.

No. SeedCrypt works entirely offline. There is no network call, no telemetry, no analytics inside the app. Your data never leaves your device.
The password is never stored. If lost, the seed is irrecoverable — this is by design, and exactly what makes AES-256 secure. We recommend keeping a written password in a physically secure location separate from the encrypted file.
Yes. Encrypted files are fully interoperable between Windows and Android. A Family license allows 3 devices, Business is unlimited.

Your hardware wallet keeps day-to-day signing offline — but it still relies on a paper seed-phrase backup as its own recovery fallback if the device is lost, damaged, or wiped. That paper backup is usually the weakest link in the whole setup. SeedCrypt replaces it with an AES-256-GCM encrypted digital backup, so your recovery phrase is protected the same way your hardware wallet protects your keys.
